We are excited to have new neighbors and fellow boaters! All newly registered boats must be inspected and receive the official sticker prior to being allowed on the water. Don’t worry, a few easy steps to get started boating!
Special Note: Boaters with Wake Enhancing Devices! Important information to be reviewed before launching your boat onto Grandview. Please read the memorandum below.
Lot owners will need to register all motorized watercraft on Grandview Lake. What do you need?
- The boat title
- Completed Boat Registration Form
- Bill of Sale or Material Order Sheet (MOS)
- Must pass the Lake Safety Test
Such documentation must be given to the office before any boat is registered to receive the official sticker allowing placement on Grandview Lake.
Please schedule an appointment with the Lake Manager to get your boat registered. There will be a physical inspection so this must be scheduled at the office before receiving your sticker and launching your boat!.
Non-motorized watercraft and trailers?
No documentation necessary, but many lot owners prefer to sticker their property in case of displacement or loss. Just ask for extra stickers at the GLOA office.
Renters? Please review rental policies. Verification of lots that are rented must be provided each year. Both lot owner and the renter must sign a new Grandview Lake Boat Registration Form
Wake Enhancing Device Rule Enforcement.
Grandview Lake in southwestern Bartholomew County, Columbus, Indiana has had a long standing rule that wake enhancing devices on boats were not allowed to be used on any boat. Beginning in 2009, the rule stated that boats with wake enhancing devices would not be “stickered” meaning they would not be allowed to be brought on our private lake. This rule has been loosely enforced since 2009, however, that is no longer the case as of September, 2015. To see the full memo delivered on 01/20/2016, click below.
